Steven A Stone Info
Born and raised in Southern California. Steve was 'Hooked', from the first time he saw an 8th grader play at his Fathers private school. He new what he wanted to do!
With no Drums to play, Steve got an earlier education in classical piano. Later making his second instrument the guitar, and then
Steve started playing drums at age 18. "Right out of H.S." Steve took enthusiastically to his first love, the drums.
Studying drums first with Dr. Butcher, a local teacher that played ? differant insruments. Mostly studing private with the best he could find. Evan Stone, John Wackerman, & Matt Johnson to name a few.
Steve has performed with:
Richard Streets (Temptations), Billy Richard's (the Coasters), Royce Jones (Ambrosia, Doobie Bros., Steely Dan) Eric Marienthal, Bunny Brunnel, Frank Gambale, Mike Reilly (Mike Reilly Band), Kelly Nichols (LA Guns), John Crawford (Berlin), Derek Bordeaux, John Wackerman (Lyndsey Buckingham)
Steve has recorded a CD with his original band 'Saving Grace' and is waiting to get back out and perform some newly recorded material from that CD.
Steve has opened for many great bands, including:
Honk, Steve Copland and Raging Sun, Blood Sweat and Tears, Drama Rama.
